The Spa waters have medium mineralization. They are magnesium-calcium-sulphate bicarbonate and slightly radioactive waters. The varied chemical composition of the waters makes them beneficial for multiple indications depending on the application techniques that we describe below.

WATER PROPERTIES

The mineral-medicinal waters of the Termas Pallares Spa were declared public utility in 1860. Their beneficial actions reside in their physical and chemical properties.

Due to their chemical composition they are classified as waters of medium mineralization, magnesium-calcium-sulphate bicarbonate and slightly radioactive. The physical properties become effective by means of the pressure and temperature of the water, combining them with the different application techniques.

Their therapeutic properties are proven by the relief they provide for pains in the joints, as well as important stimulating actions for the organism. Used in thermal baths they produce sedation, they reduce muscular contractions and increase the blood flow.

They are analgesic and sedating, they are prescribed for stress, anxiety and nervous-type alterations. They contain radioactivity but at a minimum but healthy proportion.

They are therapeutically indicated for respiratory affections (allergies, asthmas, chronic bronchitis...) and taken orally for renal affections.
